Newcastle close to £10m swoop

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is believed to be on the verge of securing a £10million deal for Lille winger Gervinho.
The Ivory Coast international is set to depart the French Champions in the summer and he is now expected to join Newcastle, where he would link up with international team-mate Cheik Tiote.
Gervinho's agent has revealed his client will open talks with a Newcastle this week and a deal could be completed by the end of the week.
However, Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the past and Gervinho has been linked with a number of sides from across Europe, meaning Pardew may still face a battle to capture the 24-year-old.
